Knowledge and Conversation

PP: It’s so weird
PP: You can find all kinds of people online talking about ways to do it.
P: it is an area where people enjoy talking themselves up, whether accurately or not
PP: But NOBODY ever talks about what it’s like or what happens afterwards.
PP: The only people I’ve heard of who have done it are in the realm of history
PP: Socrates, obviously. I mean, he talks about it in the dialogues.
PP: Aleister Crowley, apparently, when he was on his honeymoon.
PP: And, oddly enough, L. Ron Hubbard.
P: *nods*
PP: The commonality between them is this: they weren’t actually trying.
PP: Okay, granted Crowley had previously tried, but he wasn’t actively working on it on his honeymoon.
P: Hubbard probably was, but his effort was more in spinning blatant fiction.
PP: This was before Scientology.
PP: Actually, the story is that Hubbard didn’t even know what an HGA was. But then he met Parsons and basically explained what he was experiencing and BAM, it’s K&C.
